WHAT I DO

Creative consulting - idea generation - medical copywriting

Soul Copy is run by Julia Jerrum. I am here to supplement your creative conceptualising and medical copywriting needs. I can step in at any stage of the process, from literature review, core claim generation, and setting the foundations for the brand tone of voice, to generating ideas for new campaigns, to tweaking live scripts and social media schedules, to referencing, Veeva upload and handling amends.

IDEAS THAT GET REMEMBERED

The ABPI code isn't an excuse for blandness. As Sir John Hegarty says, we need to make work that occupies ‘the space between someone’s ears'. At Soul Copy, I want to help you earn the space between their ribs too.

An art director once said 'nobody reads the body copy'. But Soul Copy gets more attention than a cursory glance. Send me a brief or a sample of body copy you've made and I'll show you why you can't just use ChatGPT or some other AI platform to turn it into Soul Copy (yet!).

I want to work on your briefs in the most creatively efficient way - see how I work for more info - which is why I'll charge for a pre-agreed outcome. HOW I WORK

1. Initial ideas round

I take your brief away for a few days, do some research, think a bit, forget about it, research a bit more, and then write.

I write out some round 1 ideas as simply as possible to sell back to you.

​

You can stop me here and take your Soul Copy round 1 ideas back to work on in house - or you can feed back what you like, what I can work on some more.

 

2. Brief revisions

Sometimes my round 1 ideas will make you question your brief and you might want to change it a little, which is totally fine with me. So before I work on round 2 ideas, you might also supply me with a refined creative brief.

Depending on any changes to the brief I might recommend another initial ideas round, or I might be able to proceed to final round ideas.

 

3. Final ideas round

I craft your ideas further to include rationales and example copy - example ads, scripts, anything you need to fully understand the idea before it's ready to produce.

​

If it helps, I also have some art director, designer and illustrator pals who I can work with to visualise my final round Soul Copy ideas for you so they're ready to build into final materials.
